1. Investor Rights
- Fair Treatment: Receive services in a fair, transparent, and professional manner in line with SEBI regulations and the AMFI Code of Conduct for Mutual Fund Distributors.
- Information Access: Obtain complete and unaltered scheme information – including SID, SAI, KIM, addenda, factsheets, performance data, and risk disclosures – as published by the respective Asset Management Company.
- Suitability & Disclosure: Expect scheme options to be presented with reference to your stated risk profile, investment objective, and time horizon, along with disclosure of commission earned by the distributor from the AMC.
- Execution Transparency: Receive timely confirmations from the AMC/RTA for every executed transaction (purchase, redemption, switch, SIP, STP, SWP).
- Complaint Resolution: Have your grievances acknowledged and addressed promptly through the defined escalation matrix set out below.
- Confidentiality: Assurance that your personal and financial data will be handled strictly in accordance with applicable data protection norms and AMFI/SEBI guidelines, and shared only with AMCs, RTAs, and regulators as required to service your investments.
- Regulatory Recourse: Access to the AMC’s grievance cell and, where applicable, SEBI’s SCORES platform and the SMART ODR portal if your complaint remains unresolved within the prescribed timelines.
2. Investor Obligations
- Provide accurate and updated KYC, PAN, bank, and nomination details at all times.
- Disclose your investment objective, financial position, and risk tolerance honestly during risk profiling.
- Read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing.
- Review portfolio statements, Consolidated Account Statements, and transaction confirmations periodically.
- Report any discrepancy or grievance promptly to the client service desk.
- Never share login credentials, OTPs, or personal data through unverified links or channels.
- Keep your contact details, email ID, and mobile number updated for seamless communication.
- Ensure all payments are made only from your own registered bank account and directly to the AMC – never to the distributor or any individual.
3. Distributor Obligations
- Act in the investor’s best interest per AMFI Code of Conduct.
- Conduct proper risk profiling before any scheme recommendation.
- Disclose all commissions transparently.
- Not guarantee or promise any specific returns.
- Resolve grievances within 15 working days and maintain the complaints register.
- Maintain investor records as per regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all SEBI and AMFI guidelines including the Master Circular for MFDs.
4. Compliance Commitment
- Adherence to the SEBI Master Circular for Mutual Funds and the AMFI Code of Conduct for Intermediaries, including the provisions on investor grievance redressal.
- Maintenance of a Complaint Register with defined turnaround times, and tracking of escalated complaints through to closure.
- Timely communication of regulatory and scheme-level changes to clients.
- Preservation of investor trust through integrity, transparency, and accountability in all dealings.
